Hello, my name is Alan, I am the Founder and Ceo of First Response Mental Health. My background Started in 2002 when we were on our way home from a company picnic for my wife. We were involved in an accident, and I was intrigued by the volunteer first responders that showed. I signed up to be a part of our volunteer local EMS agency. The next 15 years I worked full time doing EMS, I was a 911 dispatcher in Horry County South Carolina, and then worked for the Myrtle Beach Police Department as a Detention Officer. I am now focused on making First Response Mental Health a place where First Responders, medical Professionals, and their families can come to get psychiatric treatment, counseling, peer to peer support, and so many more options that will be available to them.
